Heretic or hero?
Ishant was made as a spin on a shounen protagonist, mixing all the absurd power of one with a bit more nuance. Despite her skill in combat, she struggles to grapple with the things she's done and people she's wronged. Thinking herself wholly just once upon a time, her story now turns to examine the ashes left behind in her wake, making allies of old foes and reconciling with the individuals that she used to take for granted.Of course, Ish is also a very comedic character, possessing a disposition for levity and sarcasm on and off of the field of battle. While interacting with this Dragoon's tale, never expect her to take herself too seriously. More often than not, she's the ass of her own jokes.

A bright flame and its shadows
Ursielle's tale is a hero's journey, and that of a woman that holds unconditional love in her heart for anybody and everybody she meets. Although a Dark Knight, she was conceptualized as an antithesis of the Dark Knights often seen in lore. No person is undeserving of compassion to her, and Ursa will use every ounce of dark power at her command to defend the defenseless and those she considers family.As it comes to family, Ursa is also caught attempting to rebuild her relationship with her estranged parents. Her story is one of high highs and low lows, both wrought by the compassion and trust in others she gives no matter what. All while she seeks to carry on a legacy left to her by another at the same time as blazing her own path.

Wild, wandering heart
Zekhi is, at first glance, comedic relief in the shape of a Miqo'te. She's an awkward sort that struggles to figure out how to connect with others no matter how much of a social creature she appears to be.While she has no shortage of comedic timing, Zekhi's story isn't all laughs. Picking up the Pieces
Where Ishant takes from the protagonist theme, Elorin's conceptualization was originally thanks to the trope of antagonist becoming an ally (begrudginly or otherwise). Fiercely independent and ruthlessly blunt with their words, Elorin remains an acquired taste for interactions that they have.Their tale is one laden with personal loss, and a disconnection with their humanity that has been mended slowly over the years. While the scars of mind and body alike fade from Elorin, old foes of theirs may yet lurk in unlikely places, merely waiting for the smallest of chances to rear their head again. Despite it all, they possess a kind heart hidden within their icy exterior, and will more often than not help others in need for no other reason than it feeling "right".

Fake it 'til You Make it
Lies, lies, lies. Minato is a pile of lies and fibs, both to herself and others. She walks with infinite bluster and can easily charm a room if she puts her mind to it. Quite the thief as well, Minato has a chip on her shoulder when it comes to the wealthy and privileged. She sees it as her own mission to knock them down a peg when she can, delighting in taking wealth from them.As it currently stands, Minato's story sees her confronting herself and her desires. She flees from a Thieves' Guild based in Kugane, something that she thought would bring the desired stability to her life only serving to destabilize it instead. What she truly wants for herself has yet to be revealed to her, yet one day soon it may show itself. Even still, she asserts she knows exactly what she desires.

Piecing herself back together
A bit more of an out-there concept, Bianca takes a few things I've been interested in exploring and folds them all into one thing, with amnesia being the chief among them. She's a character that I've crafted a very expansive and terrifying past for her to find, and those she meets along the way will very much shape how she grows and changes with each new memory returned.Hers is a tale that will require one to differentiate between the person she was and who she is today, shaped by those actions even if she doesn't remember them.

Laine is a massive juxtaposition. She's silly and quite clumsy, but at the same time, incredibly competent when the situation arises. She likes to make herself seem small and unassuming, especially after all she's been through, but many may still remember her for her heroic deeds during the war between Eorzea and Garlemald.

The key parts of Mica's character that come through most prominently is how she attempts to communicate solely through motions, gestures, and expression. She's an experiment in seeing how well I can elaborate on a character's feelings with as little dialogue as possible.She's also a character who had the mantle of "hero" forced upon her once upon a time, leading her to view such a thing in a negative light as it slowly ruined her life and drove a wedge between her and her mother, Bianca. Out of time
I have several characters that have been burdened by duty and sought or seek to be free of it, but what about a character bereft of meaning? Due to her extreme circumstances, Orchid lacks a purpose, and desperately searched for the reason she is here in this moment and not any other.Is fate just a cruel string of random events? Or is there truly a meaning to her presence in Eorzea? Out of place, out of time, and no idea of where she should go. This is the path that Orchid walks.
